The weather is getting colder. The leaves are gone. The anticipation of the beginning of ski season is perculating. The fan guns are blaring in my back yard (Mount snow) and Killington is already been open for 3 weeks. I feel guilty I’m not skiing today. But that’s not the point of this post, the point. Relive your love of skiing this season. Forget what you hear, forget what you remember. Create new memories this season. Go ski with your family.
My fondest memories are weekends spent @Berkshire Snow Basin in Cummington, MA with my mom and dad and my 2 sisters. My parents would pack our lunch in an old wooden picnic basket, they would “apres” in the parking lot with their friends and I’d run around like a mad man while my sisters chased me. The day was spent doing laps via a T-bar down runs like College Highway and Ruthie’s run. Memories of a lifetime. Which lead me to .....
Go ski with your family and go local. With the profileration of season passes like the IKON or the EPIC pass, there’s ample opportunities to ski bigger mountains. 
There are are plenty of opportunities to ski local as well. Try Berkshire East, Catamount, Butternut (which has recently purchased Otis Ridge and Blanford). Avoid long road trips and mark a few of these areas off the list this season. For example,
